APPLICATION FORM
- Please write in ink and make sure your hand writing is legible.
- Photos should be standard passport size and you should be facing the camera. Please ensure that the photos are relatively recent (within two years).
APPLICATION FEE
The application fee is payable in Canadian dollars. Payment should therefore be made by International Money Order rather than cheque as exchange rates vary almost daily. APPLICATION DEADLINES
Applications for the September intake must be submitted by June 1st and for the March intake by December 1st. You will be notified within two week of your interview whether or not you have been accepted onto the program. Late applications will be considered, space permitting.
Early application is advised due to limited class size.
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
Please have the reference forms completed by two individuals who are in a position to evaluate your potential for successfully completing the professional Diploma program at Ongiara College. The forms may not be completed by family members, relatives or anyone in a dependent relationship to you (e.g. employees, clients etc.)
N.B.
Before sending off your application we recommend that you photocopy the completed form for your reference. Given the wait for transcript arrivals, there may be some delay between mailing the application and the date of your interview.
Please remember that you must arrange for transcripts (of any credits/degrees previously earned) to be sent directly from the institution where you obtained them to Ongiara College.
WE CANNOT PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION UNTIL WE RECEIVE THESE TRANSCRIPTS.
INTERVIEW
All applicants will be interviewed by two members of the College Admissions Board once we have received all the necessary documentation in support of your application. We will notify you in writing of the time of your interview. If you are unable to attend, please make sure that you telephone to cancel with at least 48 hours notice.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
If you are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada, you must apply for a student visa. Students with U.S. citizenship are able to apply for their student visas at the port of entry. However, one of the requirements is an approved medical which can take several months to process so please inform yourself in advance of all the specifics. We can provide further information.
