FULL TIME PROGRAM
Four academic years over 36 calendar
months: eight semesters of 15 weeks each
Attendance predominantly for 2 days
per week during semesters 1-5 (Fri-Sat) and
3 days per week during semesters 6-8 (Thurs-Sat)
Total 120 credits (2,137 ½ credit
hours) including 675 supervised clinic hours
Tuition:
$3,000 per semester (Canadian students)
$4,000 per semester (International
students)
EXTENDED PROGRAM
Four academic years over 42 calendar
months: five semesters of 5 months each followed
by three semesters of 15 weeks each
Attendance predominantly for 6 contiguous
days per month during semesters 1-5 (Thurs-Tues)
and 3 days per week during semesters 6-8
(Thurs-Sat or Sun-Tues)
Total 120 credits (2,137 ½ credit
hours) including 675 supervised clinic hours

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS FOR CANADIAN
STUDENTS:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
or equivalent with a minimum overall average
of 65% on six OAC or Grade 12 ‘U’ or ‘M’
courses
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL
STUDENTS:
- Academic standing equal to 12 years of
primary and secondary education; and
- The secondary school qualification(s) required
for admission to internationally recognized
colleges/universities in the student’s home
country; and
- Proof of English Language Proficiency
MATURE STUDENT ELIGIBILITY: applicants
must
- be 21 years of age or older at the start
of the first academic year; and
- have been away from formal education (secondary
school, college etc.) for at least the previous
two years; and
- not meet the normal academic requirements
for admission; and
- satisfy Ongiara College that you have the
potential to undertake the professional diploma
course through an Assessment of Prior Experience
and Learning process (APEL Portfolio); or
- complete an Academic Bridging Program offered
by Ongiara College during the six months
leading up to the start of the first academic
year of the diploma program

INTENSIVE PROGRAM
Four Academic Years over 37 calendar
months
Attendance predominantly for 6 contiguous
days per month over 24 calendar months (Thurs-Tues)
and 3 days per week during the following
13 calendar months (Fri-Sun or Sun-Tues)
Total 136 credits (2850 credit hours)
including 900 supervised clinical hours and
180 clinical observation hours
Tuition:
$11,000 per academic year (US and
International students)
$9,000 per academic year (Canadian
students)
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS FOR US STUDENTS
(AND CANADIAN STUDENTS CHOOSING THIS PROGRAM):
- a minimum of two academic years (60 semester
credits) education at baccalaureate level,
with a grade of 70% or higher; and
- a further 6 credits total in Human Anatomy
and Physiology I and II, with a grade of
70% or higher; and
- a further 15 credits (225 hours) in General
Science/Human Science courses, with a grade
of 70% or higher (these can be taken concurrent
with Academic Years 1-2); and
- Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR
level ‘C’ Certification or Standard First
Aid and Health Care Provider CPR level ‘HCP’
Certification
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL
STUDENTS:
- Academic standing equal to the requirements
for North American students; and
- Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR
level ‘C’ Certification or Standard First
Aid and Health Care Provider CPR level ‘HCP’
Certification; and
- Proof of English Language Proficiency
